Russo-Ukrainian War 8/3/22

In Kherson, the cratering of the Antonivskyi Bridge has forced Russia to rely on pontoon ferries, an increasingly ineffective measure as Ukrainian forces continue to advance in Kherson. Per British intelligence sources, the city is now effectively cut off from occupied territories, and though there is visual confirmation of Russian resupply efforts, Ukrainian artillery will likely put harsher pressure on the city.

In the Donbas, Ukraine has begun mandatory evacuations from the remains of Donetsk, possibly in preparation to maintain the frontline as more forces are concentrated in the south. Though Russia has transferred many forces south ahead of Ukraine’s counteroffensive, they have repeatedly attempted to break through Ukrainian lines in the east and have been largely repelled.
