A major Ukrainian bridgehead was reported by Russian sources east of the Oskil river, indicating a possible collapse of Russia’s defenses in Luhansk amidst referendums.
As Russia’s proxies continue to organize their sham referendums, Ukraine’s advances east of the Oskil river break the defensive line the Russian Ministry of Defence attempted to establish following the disastrous rout from Kharkiv. With many military analysts already criticizing the withdrawal, the subsequent failure of the Oskil defensive line could have serious effects on morale, particularly regarding Russia’s proxies, many of whom have reportedly been refused entry into Russia proper.
Many pro-Ukrainian sources have continued their operational silence in respect of Ukraine’s requests and have been reporting extensively on Russia’s referendums and belligerent conduct during the United Nations General Assembly. But the war on the ground continues, with neutral and pro-Russian sources depicting a battle clearly in Ukraine’s favor.
