Ukrainian intelligence has recently pointed towards a decisive battle in Autumn, deferring previous expectations as to an offensive by the end of the Summer.
Though this is partially a result of weapon transfer delays and donations of more defense-orientated systems, the pace of warfare has undoubtedly been frozen on both sides. Though Russia has continued to fail in its advance, Ukraine has not yet mounted a counteroffensive as a result of Russia’s number of forces. Dislodging them, particularly from Kherson, will require a longer period, disabling Russia’s logistics and command capabilities to decapitate the Russian army’s top-down leadership.
