The United States (along with members of the G7) has called on Russia to hand over control of Zaporizhzhia NPP, Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, to Ukraine.
Ongoing shelling at the power plant has forced several reactors offline, and Russia has been attempting to connect the plant to Crimea’s energy grid.
As fighting continues, Ukraine’s small army of drones will continue targeting areas inside or near the plant, whereas Russia’s reign of terror in the power plant has been a ready distraction to have an increasingly haphazard defense in Kherson.
