Two powerful explosions rocked a Black Sea fleet airbase in Crimea, with many fearing Ukraine could have struck the island.
In order to hit the airbase, Ukraine would have needed an unprecedented missile donation capable of evading Russian air defenses. Though Ukrainian officials have commented on the weapon being of “Ukrainian make,” others are more worried over the possible secretive transfer of ATACMS.
The Russian government chose to blame a fire safety violation, claiming that Cold War-era munitions were to blame.
